It couldn't smooth a tiny vase regardless of any condition I tried (very mild heat, stirring, etc.) Chlorinated solvents did a good job, but they dissolve practically any plastic and are one of the most hazardous solvents we use at the lab. Moral of story: you'll never smooth PLA like acetone & ABS.
